Specialist Installation Division
The Specialist Installations Division (SID) design, supply and construct crop storage, handling and processing facilities both on-farm and with agriculturally related industries.
Whilst this part of the business has built its reputation on undertaking turn-key projects it is equally at home supplying component parts.
The Division is headed by Jeremy Nunn, a Director of TNS, it has a team of seven, including two in technical sales and contract management, plus a full time draughtsperson.
Jeremy is a member of the Nunn family, who remain shareholders in the business and, along with James Thurlow, is proud to be continuing the family involvement in the strategic and day to day management of the business.
We can organise all aspects of a project including equipment supply, Local Authority Planning and Building Regulations, Health and Safety Regulations, finance, steel-frame buildings and ground-works, flood risk assessments, archaeological surveys, electricity and gas supply and installation, hard and soft landscaping.
Diversity is key to success
Projects have been as diverse as the contract management for a packing complex for the supply of leeks to supply a major UK supermarket chain, to the supply of a single phase fan to ventilate a bulk stack of potatoes destined for the local chip shop.
Catering for specialist requirements is a key strength of ours. We are reknowned for the ability to complete projects to specification, on time and to budget incorporating all the individual tailored requirements necessary for your project.
Grain drying and storage
SID design and build facilities for the drying, storage and conditioning of combinable crops. Whether it is continuous flow, batch, mobile dryers or on-floor systems. We specialise in ensuring the solution is appropriate to the application.
Automated control panel options provide for extensive and live monitoring of the crop conditions, allowing you to adapt to the needs of your crop as they occur, even off-site from a computer at home or in the office, or alerts to a mobile device.
Systems will be designed for your needs and requirements.
Vegetable and fruit storage
SID offer expertise in the design, planning and project management of both new build and refurbishment of existing buildings to offer a storage solution whether it is potatoes, onions or other vegetable product as well as fruit.
Whether your storage needs are bulk, box/bin, with ambient and/or refrigeration, no matter how large or small SID can offer you a solution.
Latest technology offers you flexibility in crop maintenance and storage, incorporating market leading designs and equipment into a bespoke project design with particular emphasis on future proofing installations and energy saving technologies.
GRADING BUILDINGS AND PACKHOUSES
With the level of work undertaken by SID in the fresh vegetable and fruit sectors we will design and build packhouses to meet the demands of the major retailers.
General agricultural buildings
SID will design and build all other types of farm buildings including but not limited to chemical stores and sprayer filling areas to ensure full compliance with the ever changing regulatory framework.
Workshops to ensure staff can work in modern facilities and all other farm yard installations including general purpose machinery stores, fertiliser stores, dutch barns and even farm offices.
