Massey Ferguson launches new MF 7S MARK 2 tractors

  • Six new models using the ‘MARK’ nomenclature from historical MF tractors
  • All models have a new 6 cylinder, 7.5-litre engine and Dyna-VT transmission
  • A brand-new cab and Datatronic 6 touchscreen improve technology options

Massey Ferguson has announced the addition of the new MF 7S MARK 2 series to its tractor line-up, featuring six models from 170-245hp, which slot between the current MF 7S range and the larger MF 8S Xtra models.

The highly anticipated new MF 7S MARK 2 range delivers significant changes from the current MF 7S models, which will remain in the MF range. The new tractors include an AGCO Power six-cylinder, 7.5-litre engine; Dyna-VT transmission as standard on all models; a brand-new cab featuring MF’s Protect-U design; the latest MF technology options and fleet management software; and a new Datatronic 6 12in touchscreen.

All six models feature ‘MARK’ nomenclature, which first appeared on historical MF models – MF 65 MARK I and MARK II and the MF 165 MARK III – and will now be used for indicating series updates across the full MF product line-up.

New MF 7S MARK 2 combines 7.5-litre power with next-generation technology

Engine

The new AGCO Power engine features a single turbo and 25% fewer parts than its predecessors for improved long-term reliability. Stage V emissions are met without the need for exhaust gas recirculation.

Maximum power is available across a wide engine speed band, while the torque curve remains flat between 800 and 1,500rpm for all models. The efficient power and torque characteristics of the new engines means EPM isn’t required and early field tests have shown improved fuel efficiency compared with the previous engine. A larger 410-litre fuel tank (+25% compared to MF 7S) and a 56.5-litre AdBlue tank (+88% compared to MF 7S) are both standard on the new models.

The 2.95m wheelbase (2.88m on MF 7S) offers excellent manoeuvrability with impressive stability while reducing the front ballast requirement for large rear implements. A new front axle contributes to an ultra-tight 5.3m turning radius, while a 14t GVW allows legal transport of the heaviest implements.

Two brand-new 2m diameter rear tyre sizes from the BKT AGRIMAX V-FLECTO range have been designed for these new models. Both new sizes, VF 650/70 R42 and VF 710/60 R44, are matched with VF 600/65 R30 front tyres, to deliver efficient grip, a large footprint and minimal soil compaction for tractors of this power and weight.

Dyna-VT on all models

All MF 7S MARK 2 models are fitted with the two-range MF Dyna-VT transmission, offering a maximum speed of 57kph and new ParkLock and emergency brake features as standard.

A four-speed PTO is standard, as are high-capacity hydraulics, including multiple closed-centre, load-sensing pump options delivering 110, 150 or up to 190 litres/min maximum hydraulic oil flow. Efficient version tractors can be equipped with up to four hydraulic valves: either four mechanical or, in a configuration exclusive to Massey Ferguson, a mixed package of mechanical and electro-hydraulic valves with decompression levers for easy connection.

Exclusive specification tractors can have up to five electric valves, each capable of delivering up to 120 litres/min of flow and all with decompression levers as standard. The transmission and hydraulic oil reservoirs are separate, allowing 96-litres of capacity for the largest trailers and implements, while a 9.6t rear lift is standard on all models.

New MF 7S MARK 2 delivers more power, technology and operator comfort

New cab and Datatronic 6 interface

The new MF 7S MARK 2 tractors feature a redesigned version of the spacious MF 8S cab which has proved popular with operators since its introduction. Massey Ferguson’s exclusive Protect-U design, with a 15cm gap physically separating the cab from the engine, reduces noise, vibration and heat transmission to the operator while also allowing the front wiper to fully clean the inclined windscreen, unlike main competitors.

Inside the cab, a new Datatronic 6 12in touchscreen terminal has a redesigned user interface to simplify navigation to key machine settings. This is twice as large as the previous screen fitted to this size of MF tractor, with a higher resolution for controls, guidance and data management, and customisable viewing ‘tiles’ in three sizes.

LED lighting as standard, with four upgrade packages, including a maximum 27 LED lights, positioning eight on the bonnet and 19 on the cab. Four digital cameras can be selected, including front and rear units along with two additional cameras for positioning on the tractor or in trailers or implements. Operators will also benefit from a new side wiper covering 72% of the window.

A combination of 14 vents maintains the correct cab temperature, while the optional Category 4 filtration system provides protection during spraying tasks. There’s generous in-cab storage, an optional fridge, and a factory installed mobile phone holder for mounting on the armrest or terminal rail. Further options include large diameter speakers and a base speaker that creates its sound via the front window.

An optional Professional package includes an external toolbox, inspection light, an air supply outlet and air gun plus additional options through MF By You.

New PTx FarmENGAGE smart farming

New MF 7S MARK 2 tractors will be the first with PTx FarmENGAGE supplied from the factory. The next-generation farm operations management software is compatible with all farm machinery brands to wirelessly transfer data for precise management and monitoring through the integrated telemetry system.

In addition, all tractor, machinery, field, cropping and task management data can be shared by USB or through the Cloud, thanks to the Connectivity Centre included in PTx FarmENGAGE.

All models have access to Massey Ferguson’s full technology package, a comprehensive range of MF By You options, and dedicated customer services including MF Care, AGCO Finance, AGCO Parts, the MF Always Running courtesy fleet, and MF How To online video tutorials.

Full production and first deliveries of the new MF 7S MARK 2 will begin in spring 2027.
