TNS Littleport Hosts First Charity Tractor Run in Support of Dementia UK
The team at TNS Littleport proudly held their first ever charity tractor run on Sunday 13 July, raising vital funds for Dementia UK. With the sun shining down, an impressive turnout of 48 tractors, from vintage classics to modern machines, and even a Fendt Rogator sprayer gathered to take part in the event.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of participants and supporters, over £905 was raised on the day. This event forms part of our wider commitment to raise £150,000 in aid of Dementia UK, in memory of John and Peggy Thurlow and in celebration of 150 years of Thurlow Nunn Standen.
The tractor run began at the TNS Littleport depot and followed a scenic route through Little Downham, Pymoor, Welney, Tipps End and the surrounding villages. A welcome pit stop at the Lamb & Flag pub in Welney offered a chance to refresh and connect before heading back to the depot. Along the way, local residents lined the roads to wave and cheer the convoy.
Upon return, prizes for the best presented tractors were awarded in the form of TNS Gift Vouchers, generously sponsored by Massey Ferguson.
Branch Manager, Adam Cuttridge, said: “We were truly overwhelmed by the turnout and support. It was wonderful to see our customers, local tractor enthusiasts and our own team come together for such a worthy cause. I would like to thank everyone who took part, helped organise the day and donated to Dementia UK. It was a fantastic event from start to finish.”
The popularity of the day was clear, with many participants already asking to register for next year. A new tradition is well and truly underway.
Thank you once again to all who supported and made the day such a success.
