Massey Ferguson introduces Next Edition Combines package for the 2027 harvest

New Next Edition Massey Ferguson Activa S, Beta and IDEAL combines have been announced for the 2027 harvest, with extra features to boost productivity and comfort. The Next Edition equipment packages come on top of upgrades already appearing on 2026 models, adding even more value for farmers.

Sales of the new 2027-year model Next Edition combines commence this June, with production starting this autumn. The packages represent significant cost savings for farmers, including up to £5,000 of advantage for MF Activa S and MF Beta models, and £13,000 for the MF IDEAL.

“As a full-line manufacturer we put farmers first, developing and delivering practical solutions to help them work more efficiently and profitably,” explained Jérôme Aubrion, Director Marketing Massey Ferguson, Europe & Middle East. “The equipment packages included on MF Activa S and MF Beta Next Edition combines have been carefully created to provide even better performance and operator comfort, while the MF IDEAL Next Edition also comes with additional automation and enhanced PTx Trimble connectivity. These practical upgrades will be welcomed by farmers, further enhancing the user experience and giving them even better value for their investment.”

MF Activa S Next Edition

MF Activa S Next Edition

MF Activa S models already boast a high specification and a strong reputation for reliable performance. New 2027 model year MF Activa S Next Edition models also come with a Comfort Pack and a Performance Pack included.

The Comfort Pack includes an in-cab fridge, additional working lights, a wide-angle mirror, a camera kit comprising a screen plus two external cameras and a high-specification DAB radio with MP3 and Bluetooth compatibility.

The Performance Pack includes a chaff spreader for improved residue management, electronic adjustment of the sieves with tailings monitoring, allowing the operator to optimise settings on the move and MF Connect telemetry with a five-year subscription.

MF Beta Next Edition

On top of the already generous level of equipment, new MF Beta Next Edition models come with Comfort and Performance Packs.

The Comfort Pack includes an LED worklight pack plus additional worklights, helping farmers maximise working time when weather and crop conditions are suitable. An additional camera makes it easier to keep an eye on what is happening all around the machine, and there is a high-specification DAB radio with MP3 and Bluetooth compatibility for extra operator comfort.

The Performance Pack is like the Activa S Next Edition, including a chaff spreader, electronic adjustment of straw deflectors and MF Connect telemetry.

The MF IDEAL Next Edition comes with Connectivity and Performance packs

MF IDEAL Next Edition

The MF IDEAL Next Edition comes with Connectivity and Performance packs adding £13,000 of advantage for the customer.

The Connectivity Pack comprises PTx Auto-Guide, as well as MF AutoTurn headland management for automated headland turns to maximise working efficiency and reduce operator fatigue. MF TaskDoc Pro brings automated task planning and recording, and allows wireless data exchange between the combine and farm office. MF Connect adds convenience, allowing authorised users to check the machine’s location and status, while MF dealers can save time with remote fault diagnosis and check service requirements.

The MF IDEAL Next Edition Performance Pack has been designed to increase convenience and maximise uptime. It includes an integral air compressor for easier cleaning away from the yard and LED work lights plus rear axle working lights to extend the working day. The pack also allows more functions and adjustments to be made from the cab, including the cutting table working angle, selection of chop or drop crop residue handling, plus chaff spreader and straw deflector adjustment.

MF IDEAL 2026 upgrades

As well as the extra equipment packages, new MF IDEAL Next edition combines benefit from upgrades already introduced for MF IDEAL 2026-year model machines, with the emphasis on even higher productivity through upgrades to the crop processing and cleaning systems.

MF IDEAL 8 and MF IDEAL 9 models both have extra crop separating capacity for even better performance in high yielding crops. This has been achieved by increasing the size of the total crop separation area to 4.54m2 on both models, an increase of 27% on the MF IDEAL 8, and 12% on the MF IDEAL 9.

Easier and quicker conversion to large grain crops is also possible as there is no need to change the front separation grates.

The cleaning system is upgraded on all MF IDEAL 2026-year models. The MF IDEAL 7 and MF IDEAL 8 gain 39% additional ventilated area while the MF IDEAL 9 gains an extra 26%. The changes provide up to 25% extra cleaning system capacity through a combination of earlier grain separation and the larger cleaning system area.

With more cleaning capacity, the cleaning shoe is less sensitive to adjustments made elsewhere in the processing and separation systems. For farmers, this makes it easier to maintain a clean grain tank sample and minimise losses even while adjustments are made as working conditions change.

Distinctive new styling

New Massey Ferguson Next Edition combines are clearly identifiable with striking styling highlighting the premium specification. Dealers will be taking orders for the new models from 1st June this year for delivery in time for the 2027 harvest, while combines bearing latest 2026-year model upgrades are already in stock and available for demonstration.
