Opportunities to earn while you learn…

If you are considering your options after your GCSE’s or you are in the wrong career or you know you want an opportunity to work towards an apprenticeship … why don’t you consider working for TNS?
Thurlow Nunn Standen Ltd is a long-established family owned and managed agricultural machinery dealer and a main distributor of AGCO products including Massey-Ferguson, Fendt & Valtra. We operate from 5 branches across Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk.

We have vacancies for Summer 2020 at all of our branches for enthusiastic future engineers that have a genuine interest in how machines work. An Apprenticeship provides the opportunity to “earn whilst you learn”, to gain a national recognised Apprenticeship qualification and experience a “university lifestyle” by attending college on block release.

You can leave school after your GCSE’s to join us because you will continue your education part-time at college (please do not make this decision, however, until you have fully explored what an Apprenticeship means for you).

Duties will include preparing machinery for delivery, testing, diagnosing and fault finding, repair and maintenance of agricultural machinery. You will also have administration responsibilities.

This is a full-time role that requires a flexible approach to working hours in peak season. It is a physically demanding role that involves a significant amount of manual handling.

5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) are desired. The min. entry requirements for an Apprenticeship is Grade 4 or above in English and Maths. Good IT skills are essential.

"I was really looking for an apprenticeship which offered me variety. I really enjoy my work at TNS; no day is ever the same, from service breakdowns, repairs to meeting customers, I am always doing something different. My work is going well and I am supported in completing the tasks required for my qualification".
