The rules covering the sale of rat bait have changed
With effect from the 1st June the rules covering the sale of rat bait changed. Here are some key facts so you are prepared:
Agricultural and professional users THE RULES
Professional rat baits (containers above 1.5kg) can only be sold to customers who have either
a valid certificate to confirm they have attended a training course covering the responsible and effective control of rat bait or
can show evidence they are a member of a UK Farm Assurance Scheme, ie Red Tractor.
However, this second option only applies until 31 December 2017 and then after only customers with a training certificate can be supplied. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
Customers will need to complete either a CRRU (Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use) certified user declaration or the Farm Assurance scheme declaration and hand this in to our Parts Department in order to purchase rat bait.
For your ease we have included a pdf version of each form just below, so you can print this off and complete it prior to purchasing rat bait. WHAT WE ARE DOING
As part of our role of being a responsible provider we will remove all rat bait in containers above 1.5kg off of our shelves. These are now either kept behind our counter or in our stores and you will need to request rat bait from our Parts staff.
Products contained in pack sizes 1.5kg and below will continue to be on display on showroom shelves and can be sold without restriction.
Print off the applicable pdf below, complete, and bring in to your local branch. We will not be able to serve you without one. Farm Assurance Schemes
