TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

As part of our on-going commitment to our staff, training and development requirements are reviewed regularly, with Departmental Managers having the opportunity to identify and recommend their department's training annually.

The Autumn of 2004 saw the launch of the AGCO Academy, which is a training programme developed by AGCO to ensure that the development of its own team members complements the training and development of the personnel employed by its network partners. TNS is fully supportive of this initiative and continues to work closely with AGCO to provide relevant and worthwhile training for its employees.

MF apprenticeship scheme
TNS work closely with AGCO and the Warwickshire College to provide our apprentices with a comprehensive 3-year training programme which involves block release study at the Warwickshire College and on-the-job training at TNS. To complement the scheme the students also work towards an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship qualification (NVQ level 3) in engineering. Each individual apprentice's training programme is fully supported by TNS, which we believe demonstrates our commitment to ensuring the excellent aftersales support we currently offer our customers continues.

Groundscare apprenticeship scheme
TNS also work closely with Writtle College near Chelmsford in Essex to provide our Groundscare apprentices with a similar scheme as above but working on groundscare machinery (e.g. Kubota).

Modern Apprentice scheme and NVQ training
All TNS employees, aged between 16 and 24, are offered the opportunity to gain a NVQ qualification for the work they do every day.

We now have a number of young people who have achieved their level 2 qualification and are enthusiastically working towards level 3 in their subject with the support of their Manager.
